Many new and innovative applications are using MongoDB for data storage. Does your application use MongoDB? If so, we’d like you to demo your application in our September developer blog contest.

Contest Rules

The rules are simple: create a video demoing us your awesome MongoDB-powered application. Describe why and how you made the choice to use MongoDB. Here are some questions you might consider answering, just to get you started:

• What does your application do, and why was MongoDB a good fit?
• What unique features of MongoDB did you leverage for your app?
• Was there a major pain point that pushed you to MongoDB?

The winner will be selected by the engineering team at 10gen, so make your video for a technical audience. Share the challenges that you faced and how you overcame them so that the whole MongoDB community can benefit from your experience.

Once complete, submit a link to your blog post in the comments section of this post by the end of the month. In addition, tweet your blog post with #MongoDevBlog. You can follow the hashtag for entries and discussion about the contest.

We’ll announce the winner in early October. The winner will receive all the prizes listed below, and everyone who enters will receive a MongoDB coffee mug.

MongoDB App of the Year

At the end of the year, we’ll pick the best entry from all the monthly contest entries to win the App of the Year. The App of the Year winner will win either a MacBook Pro or an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City or San Francisco for one of our MongoDB conferences.
